Any suggestions about the screen size and type of the laptop?
I have allways worked with desktop PCs but since I am taking a university course, I will definitely need a laptop at school.
Any suggestions what kind of laptop would be good?
Thanks
Walter

Screen size won’t matter much, really. It will be important to make sure that any coding programs you’ll need, as well as compilers, will run on the laptop you’re purchasing. I know many Computer Science students at my school (UC Berkeley) and a bunch of them are using macs. They’re fast and powerful, they make plenty of developer tools for the mac, and you can even run windows virtualization if you need to test compatibility. Many computers though, will allow you to do what you need to do, just create a price range that you’re willing to spend, and start from there. Beyond that, anything you feel comfortable with. Check with your course requirements to see what you might need in terms of software
