PostHeaderIcon My Desktop PC shows harddisk used space way too much than I think I am using. How do I correct this?

alertpersons asked:

I have Desktop PC running on only Operating System Windows xp. The total installed programs are taking 4 GB harddisk space. I am having 40 GB harddisk.
But the C:\Documents and Settings folder shows 21 GB space used.
I checked individual folder of C:\Documents and Settings. But this shows very small space occupied. (I have show hidden files & folders checked in Folder Options)
I run norton anti virus regularly and it does not show any virus/spyware.
How do I find out what is using up all my hard disk space?

I want to be able to have a “portable” web site, to do demos on PCs without having to install or configure the PC. I know I can install to the USB drive, keep configuration file on the drive, and store pages, but what about the “service”? anything else? Alternatives?

PostHeaderIcon How do I set up file sharing between two PCs via a router?

sg-7 asked:

I have a Belkin Wireless G Router 2.4GHz 802.11g. I’ve plugged in my Broadband modem to one port and my desktop to another. So I can share the internet connection or even files between two computers provided that one of the them are wireless. So I can share files between my desktop and the wireless laptop. But when I plug in my laptop to one of the other LAN ports on the router I can’t get my laptop and desktop (both connected to the router) to share files. Anyone know how to fix this?
