iamtoohotfortv2000 asked: I have an old Win 98 PC that did not survive my last move (sadly). My main PC is a Win XP PC, but I wanted my good ole Win 98 SE PC to play older DOS-based games.
I am going to build another old Win 98 PC, but how do I safely store it away after building it? I am in a dry state now, so static is an issue and I cannot find any huge anti-static bags to shield it. I was thinking of storing it on a box, but is that a good idea? Do I wrap it in a towel??
Can anyone help since every search engine keeps giving me idiot results when I make different querries??
Thanks! ^_^
I understand, but won’t the HDs get static damage? When you buy HDs retail, they are wrapped in anti-static, so should my HDs stored in the destop also be bagged??
I am storing my Desktop in a closet in the house.
Thanks for the tips! ^_^
*** Additional question (within the question) ***
It is about static. Are you all sure static doesn’t affect the Hard Drives when stored away in a box, in a carpeted closet???
Thanks for the info, y’all! ^_^
